Community-Supported Agriculture

This year Beaverland FarmsFisheye Farms, and Coriander Kitchen and Farm are teaming up to offer you more Detroit produce than ever!

Join the Detroit Produce Club, a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) collaboration!

By purchasing a farm share at the beginning of the year, you are helping support Beaverland Farms' in the early season when expenses are high and before we have products to harvest and sell. We are thankful for your deep connection and appreciation of local food production in Detroit.

Community-supported agriculture

CSAs (Community Supported Agriculture) are designed for both the members and farmers to benefit from the bounty of different parts of the season. However, that also means we share in the unpredictable aspects of farming: weather, pests, plant diseases, etc. Some weeks will have a beautiful variety of perfect produce, while other weeks may have some shortcomings from all the variables that go into farming.

Each week you will receive a vegetable share containing about 6-9 vegetables. Each week you can expect to feed 1-4 people for several meals based on your diet!

We will send out a weekly email containing information about what is in the share, a recipe, and updates about the farms. This will help you plan accordingly and get important information about vegetable storage, cooking tips, and logistics about picking up your share.

seasonal produce

In exchange for your support, you can expect a produce box that will change each week, filled with seasonal greens and roots in the early and late season and loaded with fruits (tomatoes, eggplant, squash, berries and more) throughout the summer months.

We hope this is an opportunity for you to learn more about the process of growing food and what eating seasonally in Michigan really means.

We can accept EBT payments for the CSA. We are also offering payment plans for the CSA.

flower csa add-on

This add-on gives our CSA customers a chance to bring some of the beauty of the farm home with them. Every week, pick up a seasonal flower bouquet from Coriander Farms with your produce share.

Bouquets are hand-picked and hand-arranged with annual and perennial flowers at the farm.

chicken csa add-on

Here at the farm, we raise meat chickens on pasture. This is a monthly chicken share, to be picked up on the first day of the month. The share includes one frozen whole chicken and 2-3# of pieces (i.e. breasts, wings, or drumsticks).

Greenhouse Add-ON

WIth this add-on, you receive an additional 6 boxes in May & November, the "greenhouse" season from Beaverland Farms (pickup for these 6 weeks only available at Beaverland Farms)

Herb add-on

If you love to cook, this is for you! Each week, we will add additional seasonal herbs to your produce box. More herbs means more flavor in each dish you make!
